Kverneland - Weather-resistant labels
Demand
Kverneland Group is a leading international manufacturer of agricultural machinery. The company has been a customer with Mekoprint for more than 40 years. Mekoprint supplies warning signs for the machinery.
Due to the rough influence from the weather some labels did not adhere as long as desired which was initially solved by replacing the label, but when the foil used for the majority of Kverneland’s warning labels failed to comply to the new RoHS directory, they turned to Mekoprint for a new and better solution.
Mrs. Aase Henriksen, Sales Assistant, Mekoprint A/S
The solution
To ensure that the new foil could resist the weather influence such as sun, wind and driness, many types of foils were thoroughly tested by Mekoprint.
At the same time a simultaneous process was started at Kverneland to standardize colors and format of the immense number of labels so that each label could be used for more than one product. The new, limited number of labels are now printed on a more weather-resistant foil with much better adhesive properties, thus eliminating complaints to Kverneland from end-users about poor adhesion.
The customer says
We were met with a professional attitude to our challenge in finding a foil which had both better adhesive properties and which could be printed in the correct RAL colors when we approached Mekoprint’s specialist.
Once again, it was confirmed that our cooperation with Mekoprint is more than a customer-supplier relationship, but rather, a true partnership where we work together to find the right solution technically – and at the best conditions.
