Marble Automation - Redesign of emergency telegraph
Demand
Marble Automation, a European manufacturer of alarm, monitoring and automation systems for any kind of vessels or buildings were in the process of redesigning an emergency telegraph for use on board vessels when they came into contact with Mekoprint.
The emergency telegraph is designed specifically to give commands if the regular system fails. High liability in the performance of the display, competitive prices and a flexible supplier were some of the criteria presented by Marble Automation at the first meetings.
The solution
Due to Mekoprint’s production set-up in Asia and its knowhow and desire to contribute to optimising its customers’ business, Mekoprint’s price was very attractive to Marble Automation. Not to mention the shorter delivery time.
Mekoprint could also suggest a redesign of the Marble Automation print board so that the LED used in the original design could be integrated in the print board itself, considerably slimming the design of the MS325 emergency telegraph. After this first order Marble has chosen to place all orders for fronts with serigraphic print with Mekoprint.
The customer says
Cuts in production costs, shorter delivery times and production optimisation were the main benefits obtained by Marble Automation’s change to Mekoprint as their supplier.
The positive cooperation in the development and design phase proved to be a win-win situation where designers from Marble Automation benefited from the materials and technology knowhow of Mekoprint’s design team which in turn got a valuable insight into demands for an easily operational front.
