Mekoprint has achieved a gold rating in Ecovadis’ international sustainability assessment, placing the company among the top 5% of businesses globally—and within the top 1% in its industry. From 2024 to 2025, Mekoprint improved its score from 69 to 79 points, which qualifies for a gold rating in the Ecovadis system – a platform that covers more than 150,000 companies worldwide.

Ecovadis is used by over 100 of Mekoprint’s customers and is regarded as one of the most widely recognized and trusted assessment platforms for sustainability and ESG. Both private and public organizations rely on it to evaluate supplier performance in areas such as environment, labor practices, ethics, and procurement.

We’ve worked hard to improve both our energy consumption and internal policies, and that work is now being recognized. It’s fantastic to see our shared persistence paying off!

Our sustainable approach

No raised fingers - but a clear purpose

The progress reflects targeted investments and a sharpened focus on corporate responsibility – particularly in energy optimization and through expanded policies covering environmental, social, and governance topics.

Mekoprint has, among other things, replaced natural gas with heat pumps at three locations, installed more than 1,000 solar panels, and optimized energy use with new ventilation systems and improved energy management. In parallel, the company has developed several new policies and introduced 17 overarching ethical guidelines in a shared cultural profile that is now followed up on annually.

We take a long-term approach to corporate responsibility as a natural part of our culture and strategy. ESG isn’t about compliance enforced by raised fingers – it’s about defining what we stand for

Strategic focus toward 2030

Even though the company set a personal record in this year’s Ecovadis sustainability assessment, Mekoprint has no plans to slow down. The company’s ambition is to be a leading partner in sustainable development and production – while also creating competitive advantages for its customers through lower resource consumption.

This includes increasing transparency in ESG reporting with more detailed tracking and follow-up on key areas. Mekoprint will also take on a more proactive advisory role with customers – helping reduce CO₂ emissions and resource use through improvements in material choices, more circular product design, and minimizing waste across the value chain.
