After a long time with the corona pandemic as the primary agenda, Mekoprint has an ambition to make 2021 a year that is going to be especially remembered for increased common focus on sustainability.
It can be difficult to structure and evaluate the work with sustainability, so Mekoprint has investigated several different approaches. At the request of Grundfos, Mekoprint has now been audited for the second time by the independent and global certification partner EcoVadis. The evaluation covers environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement with high requirements to document workflows and results within the areas.
The result is for the second year in a row a “Gold rating” with progress to a position among the top 5% of all companies audited by EcoVadis – and among the top 2% of the company in the metal industry. At the same time, Mekoprint has moved from the Advanced to the Outstanding category. Of course, we are extremely proud of that – but the work does not stop here.
The ambition is to become a leading sustainable development and production partner for our customers, so we must to an even greater extent develop increased sustainability in collaboration with the entire value chain. One of the primary initiatives in 2021 is therefore to seek opportunities for more sustainable procurement – both for our own consumption and for our customers’ products.
It will take time to develop more sustainable solutions, but we want to invest long-term. So feel free to contact your nearest Mekoprint contact to find out how we might be able to help accelerate your sustainable development. We are looking forward to hear from you!
