Mekoprint has separate areas for handling stainless steel constructions. We know what is required to deliver error-free constructions, and we have great respect for the requirements and the environment the finished product must be used in.

We can deliver stainless steel constructions using manual welding and using our three-section robotic system. We always make sure to keep the processes strictly separated from the other steel.
At Mekoprint, we offer aluminium welding. We use all kinds of alloys and know what is required to sustain the often high finish associated with the use of aluminium.

We also offer all kinds of subsequent processing of the finished product.

Robotic welding

Mekoprint has modern production facilities with 12 manual welding stations and two welding robots. Mekoprint possess the skills and technologies to perform both manual welding and robotic welding within limit values of up to 4600 mm in length and a width of 955 mm.

A fixture is often made that can be bolted in place on the rotary table. This fixture can be reused every time the same workpiece needs robotic welding. This makes it extremely cost effective.

Robot 1 can weld workpieces in the following formats:

The robot has two welding tables, each measuring 1850 x 700. It is possible to weld workpieces up to 450 mm in height. However, this limit may vary as there must be room for any locking clamps and fixtures.

In some cases, it will be possible to weld taller workpieces, if it is possible to “lower” the workpiece into the welding table.

Both welding tables are freely programmable, so it is possible to weld the workpieces from both sides.

Robot 2 can weld workpieces in the following formats:

The robot is designed to weld 3 metre sections. The rotary table can handle a fixture with a length of up to 4600 mm and a width of 955 mm.

For broader workpieces, a fixed fixture is often produced and mounted between the two flanges on the rotary table at a distance of 2600 mm.

Wet coating

Wet coating can usually be delivered in all known RAL and NCS colours.

Colours like red, yellow and orange do not have the best covering power and require a primer to avoid them taking on a different shade, e.g. yellow will often appear greenish. Workpieces that need to be primed first need to pass through the paint facility twice. Depending on the paint specification chosen, this may involve a doubling of the price of the surface treatment.

Max. length: 3.5 metres – larger workpieces are painted by an external partner.
Max. height: 2 metres.
Max.: 1.2 metres centred around the trolley.
