Photo etched parts

For more than 20 years, Mekoprint Micromechanics has been manufacturing high-volume photo etched parts using the high-precision photo chemical etching technology. This production process can create precision metal components that laser cutting and punching, for example, are not able to produce.

The precision etching technology is used for manufacturing a variety of parts, like e.g. shims and etched metal nameplates. Combined with the bending technology, we produce EMC-shieldings, springs, antennas and battery contacts, as well as a number of other special metal components.

Customized photo etched parts

With customized photo etched parts, incredible features are obtained. The photo chemical etching technology achieves, among other things:

  • Precision metal components of complex geometries
  • Tension and burr-free parts
  • The etched parts are clean after etching and without need for additional deburring
  • The etched parts are typically manufactured with no tool costs

Etched metal nameplates

Mekoprint produces etched metal nameplates for local as well as global companies.

The etching technology is often combined with subsequent printing with the desired colors.

Alternatively, the etching can appear without color, which gives a unique and exclusive appearance.

Etched springs and battery connectors

Springs are used for many different purposes in different industries. The resilient nature of spring steel makes it particularly suitable for a number of different purposes, for example, battery switches, locking functions and similar product types where a resilient material is required.

Etched antennas and shims

In a close collaboration with the customers, Mekoprint develops and manufactures single and double-sided RF antennas and sensors using the screen printing and etching technology.
Etched and printed RFID antennas are used, for example, as RFID tags for electronic identification or for telecommunication products (e.g. GSM, WiFi, BlueTooth).

In order to achieve commercial success, the right choice of materials is essential and in close collaboration, Mekoprint can always advise on the right choice of material for specific antennas.

Shims and support disks are used in a wide range of applications to take up unnecessary space or level constructions up to a uniform height.

The photo chemical etching process is the perfect solution for high-volume production of shims, which provide completely tension- and burr-free disks that are extremely durable.

Surface treatment of photo etched parts

At Mekoprint, we want to make your outsourcing easy, which means that we offer our customers to handle the manufacturing process for them, including the surface treatment.

Anodizing and painting are in-house technologies that are complemented by a wide range of close external partners who provide various types of plating, such as nickel / tin, nickel / gold or electroplating.
