After completion of printing, it is common for the graphical or electrically conductive print to undergo lamination, where it is combined with other layers in the overall solution.
The lamination can be performed in Mekoprint’s roll-to-roll production or sheet production, depending on the task. Read more about the two production options below.
Mekoprint offers cold lamination. In this method, adhesive is applied to the foils. This may be pressure-sensitive (PSA). Then the two or more materials and layers are combined.
A membrane keypad is typically built up of a number of layers that are laminated together in Mekoprint’s sheet production.
Overlays, display foils, combination foils and other printed graphic and functional foils will also undergo a lamination process – either by adding substrate foil, protective foil or adhesive material.
