For more than 15 years, we have collaborated with Ambu on printed electronics for one of their most widely used ECG sensors, also known in the market as the "blue sensor".

Due to our automated and streamlined production, we deliver approximately 150 million sensors to our partner every year.

Ambu has high demands on quality, product design and development capacity, on-time delivery, acceptable lead-time, cost, technical capacity and flexibility and resilience in the supply chain. Mekoprint can meet Ambu's requirements on all parameters.

"Mekoprint has been our strategic partner for many years. Although we have moved our own production to Malaysia, Mekoprint is the partner we want to continue working with because of their first-class and advanced automation setup, high capacity, excellent quality, on-time delivery and cost competitiveness. Mekoprint has everything it takes to be our supplier."

Efficient production with a focus on quality

Ambu outsourced production to us because we are able to produce very large volumes at an attractive price, and our roll-to-roll production gives us control over the entire process. The collaboration means that Ambu can focus on its core competencies while Mekoprint handle the production.

Developing solutions together with Ambu

The collaboration with Ambu has evolved over the years - not least because Mekoprint places great emphasis on developing better solutions together with customers. We work very closely with Ambu on logistics, as security of supply is extremely important. With a setup where our printed sensors are stored at Ambu in Malaysia, we organise production according to Ambu's forecast. This way they can always be sure that they have the quantities they need.

"Mekoprint always comes up with solutions for Ambu when we are looking for increased capacity, technical solutions, quality improvements and cost improvements. Mekoprint is always willing to go the extra mile to support Ambu, and they are persistent enough to always exceed our expectations. We have overcome many challenges together all these years from pandemic, supply chain issues, capacity constraints and so on."

"When we're talking about such large volumes, it's crucial that we have a very efficient and streamlined production that enables us to deliver a very high number of sensors month after month. Obviously, quality is crucial - especially when we produce sensors for medical consumables, where the demands for both quality and consistency are very high."
