Strong growth and lower profits in the wake of heavy investments
The Mekoprint Group recently submitted Mekoprint Holding A/S’ annual accounts for fiscal year 2015/2016 to Erhvervsstyrelsen (the Danish Business Authority). The accounts show a 26% increase in revenue from MDKK 282 to 354. Meanwhile, as a result of a series of investments in growth, pre-tax profit fell to MDKK 10.7 from MDKK 23.4 in 2014/2015.
The accounts are impacted by many factors, including integrating three corporate acquisitions within machining and cables in 2015/2016 , investments in a new product area, micro-milling, and production of a record number of new products and more automated metal and foil-related activities.
The extraordinarily large number of initiatives were successful thanks in no small way to concerted efforts throughout the company. Everyone – including customers – was involved in the “Creating together” campaign. Revenue is expected to continue to grow in 2016/2017 without further acquisitions. Profits are also expected to improve significantly compared to 2015/2016.
